Cincinnati Art Museum – Spanish Translation

Treasures of the Spanish World // Tesoros del mundo hispano

In 2020, I did the translation for all the title cards and the descriptions of every piece displayed in this exhibition. The pieces ranged from the Prehistoric era to the XIX century, so thorough research and attention to detail were paramount to the success of the show. Total project size, 30,000 words plus marketing materials.

Rolex – Latin American Localization

I’ve been working on Hogarth’s Rolex account since 2014. My main focus is QC and QA, but I also contribute to transcreation and localization for the Latin American market.

Apple – Localization Editing

As Apple was preparing to launch iTunes Music, I was hired as a localization editor. I started editing the playlists written by other writers, but eventually I was doing both writing and editing. Most of the content went through me before being published.

IOP Publishing – Localization Translation

I’ve been working with the editorial and publishing divisions of the Institute of Physics since 2003.

Circus Marketing – Copywriter

When I joined Circus, the award-winning agency focused on BTL and digital. My work included concept development for events, pitches and presentations, as well as creating examples of how to execute those concepts in guerrilla marketing and digital advertising.

New World (Amazon Gaming) – Transcreation and Localization

Transcreation and localization for the Mexican market of all advertising and marketing materials for the launch of Amazon Gaming’s flagship MMORPG, New World.

Double Down Casino – QC Testing

This was a rush project in which I performed quality control on the Spanish text within the app and then tested it in-game.

TRACE Sport Stars – Transcreation and Localization

I worked on the TRACE account for eight years. I was in charge of the localization for the Mexican market. Every month I would translate the blurbs for the descriptions of the TV shows so that they could be distributed to the Mexican networks for their own advertisement of the programming. The original content was about celebrities, athletes and their lives.

Design Success (Pepsico) – Bilingual Copywriter

In 2010, I was initially hired to conduct market research surveys, but my skills earned me a spot as copywriter. The owner presented in English, but the work was being done for Pepsico Mexico, so I had to transcreate the Spanish concepts into English. Project Polaris was a rebranding of the line of chips: Sabritas (Lays), Ruffles, etc.
