Localization and Transcreation Quality Control (Contractor)

I am proud of my work for the most iconic luxury brand of all time. Whether it’s transcreating longer pieces like the one below, the print pieces for their initiatives, awards, ceremonies and sponsored events, to ensuring all the text is up to the Rolex standard.

Always with the focus on the market with which we’re communicating. For the print materials, I ran QA and QC for Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Perú and at some point even a few for Argentina and Chile. Here are some examples of the day-to-day.

In Latin America we use “carátula”, not “esfera”

The comma after “y” on the second line needed correcting.

Before QA note “transatlántico”, which is Castilian usage; After QA, we are using “trasatlántico”, which is how it is pronounced in Mexico.

Before my QA, notice the odd wording in the beginning: “en la época dorada… en la década de…”
After QA, the “en” was eliminated and the material is ready to print.
